Anthony Sousa

Music Director

Anthony Sousa’s love for music started with classical piano lessons at age six, and he remained a student of classical piano for 16 years. During his teens, he played in several dance bands. While at Lehigh University, he taught piano at a studio and filled in as the organist at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Catasauqua, PA. During this time, he was exposed to a style of music using “Fake Books” and has enjoyed this style of music, which allows expressive freedom, since.
Tony has played the piano and organ on Wednesdays and Sundays at Church of Our Father in Hulls Cove for over thirty years. He is the pianist at Birch Bay's Wednesday Worship Service.

Tony delights parishioners and the community year round by hosting and playing in concerts and events. Tony goes above and beyond to help others and was honored as Volunteer of the Year at the Mount Desert Island Hospital and,has been recognized with his good friend and fellow musician, Fred Benson, at Birch Bay Village Retirement Community. Tony is a Church of our Father treasure!
