Welcome to St. Saviour’s

St. Saviour’s is a vibrant year-round community of worshippers and followers of Jesus.  We offer public worship several times a week <schedule>, and host meetings and programs of many local organizations <calendar>.

Every year, hundreds of visitors tour our historic building <panorama view>.  Our church is open for meditation and prayer from 8:30 to 5:00 every day from May through October. Guided tours are available Sunday morning at 11:30 and at other times by appointment.  At other times, we have self-guided tour brochures available in the church in English, French, and German.

If you are attending services here on a Sunday morning, there is free parking in the Rectory Common lot at the corner of Mount Desert Street and High Street and in the Parish House lot at the corner of Kennebec Street and Firefly Lane, behind the Village Burial Ground.  Metered parking spaces and Resident Permit spaces are also free on Sundays until noon.  On other days, our parking lots are reserved for groups using the church; please park at a legal metered spot.  If you park on a side street marked for Resident Permits Only on a weekday, you may be ticketed.

Currently, wheelchair accessibility is through the Cloister:  park in the Rectory Common lot and follow the signs through the Cloister (covered walkway) to the church.  A more permanent accessibility ramp is under construction at our main door onto Mount Desert Street, and is expected to be completed mid-summer of 2019.
